Kent Rautenstraus, 50, is a professional pianist who plays a variety of musical styles at numerous elegant events in his home state of Colorado, and throughout the United States. He played piano on two occasions for President Bill Clinton in his capacity as pianist to Colorado Governor Roy Romer, and once for President George W. Bush at the Adams Mark Hotel in Denver. In December 1999, Kent was honored to play piano at the White House in Washington, D. C. for a United States Treasury Department reception. In August 2008, Kent provided classy piano music at key events associated with the Democratic National Convention held in Denver, including a reception where he entertained House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

Other musical credentials include providing music at a conference hosted by New York Times best-selling author Neale Donald Walsch (Conversations With God) as well as seminars with authors Deepak Chopra, Iyanla Vanzant, and Gary Zukav. He played a pipe organ concert near Salzburg, Austria, and a diplomatic reception for the young Shah of Iran. He also played piano regularly at the venerable Ships Tavern in the historic Brown Palace Hotel and at the Centennial Restaurant located at the Hyatt DTC. His corporate accounts include Lockhead Martin, The Denver Broncos, and numerous country clubs and catering firms, where he is in demand at weddings and receptions. In September 2000, he provided music at an inter-faith conference in Big Sky, MT.

Kent is the Director of Music Ministry at the 5,000-member Mile Hi Church in Lakewood, CO. He received an honorary Doctorate of Music (D. Mus) degree in February 2005. His recording of original, keyboard music entitled Luminaire, designed for deep relaxation and meditation, has sold over 3,000 copies to date. His other original CD Reverie is described as “reflective keyboard music for the heart, mind and soul.” He also has CDs of instrumental Christmas music entitled L’Esprit de Noel which translates as “the spirit of Christmas,” and a healing inspiration CD, Transcendence.
